Top Down Shooters
I just got done playing Shadogrounds. I bought it off of steam for twenty dollars and it was well woth it. It brought back memories of long past games such as the Crusader series, diablo, and a little knowns UT 2004 mod called Alien Swarm. Alien Swarm is making a come back with the HL2 engine called Alien Swarm: Infested. I am looking forward to this. If anywone out there still likes top down shooters I would recomend shadowgrounds. The voice acting is a little cheesy, but the environments are rich, the sound ads to the ambience, and the action is great. You can play the demo through steam. I played the Shadowgrounds demo last night. I enjoyed it. Seems like a top down version of Doom considering the similarities with the enemies and the environments. The only complaint I had was aiming. It took a few minutes to get used to shooting with a top down perspective. But overall it was fun.
