Unhappy Recieving an engine error

The error comes up every time I try to play VTM: Bloodlines. I never had this problem before, but ever since the motherboard was replaced and I re-installed the game (unistalled it because it was slowing down another game of mine) I get this engine error: Unable to init shader system. Any idea on what I should do?

It could be nothing more than a corrupt file and the need to reinstall.
What other problems were you having with your games and what card and drivers are you running?
Also have you reinstalled any patches for the game?
