Lightbulb pps picture format

Hi All:

A Friend keeps sending me pictures in a pps format, but I don't have
anythng that will open them, I can't even find anything at any of the
download sites that opens pps stuff, is there such a format, and if
so, where can I download the program or utility?

Your help will be very much appreciated, and thanks ahead of time.

Hi Bill Lane,

If I remember correctly, a .pps file is a Microsoft PowerPoint slide show file. Hope that helps.

It a Powerpoint slideshow program. You would need MS Powerpoint to open it.

You should be able to download a free Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft.

Talking Thanks

Thanks Glc:

I did just that.

Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97, PPVIEW32.EXE.

Work great, got to view all my friends pictures.

I'm just wondering if I'll ever find use for it other than this one
guy that sends pictures in this pps format?

Thanks again,

Bill Lane

I would personally ask him to send you files in another format. There are quite a few Powerpoint viruses out there.

Unhappy Thanks

Thanks Mairving:

That sounds like a good idea to me, I sure don't want to get any
viruses !!!

Thanks,
