Please Recommend Some Games
I have been out of the gaming loop for some time now. Can some of you gamers please recommend some "must-play" games? I like most types of games. I don't want to play something that will run at a crawl on my system though.
Thank you.

FEAR would be my #1 choice. HL2 runs good on low horsepower systems but I have no problems with FEAR on my 4800+ with an 800. If you don't mind something older, then Halo is a blast.

I'm enjoying Quake4 on my new build. Nice graphics.

Definitely the "Neverwinter Nights" Trilogy (Easiest way is "Diamond Edition"). Doesn't necessarily look the greatest, but the storyline is well developed. Play the campaign and whatever multiplayer you can get your hands on, it's definitely good.
Don't know how old these might be, but if you're looking for MMORPGs, I'd highly reccommend either "Ever Quest" (1, not 2), and Dark Age of Camelot. The first being, in my opinion, the best MMORPG ever made, and the second definitely high up on that list. If you're into it, City of Villains/Heroes is something to check out. A classic favorite of mine would be "Arcanum", a kinda old isometric view game with a rich story. Doesn't look to shabby either. -Tai Last edited by Taigen Jalisal; 06-22-2007 at 04:07 PM. |

Thanks all. I will check out some of them and see which have demos. I tried the Company of Heroes demo and thought it was great. I still fire up Homeworld (1999) once in awhile so I need some new titles for sure!

Company of heroes is crazy fun online. I mean, how often do you get to call down a V-2 on "die American Cowboys".

I second Dawn of War. Dark Crusade is the lastest expansion and you DONT need the previous copies to play the game, only to lock some of the old races. If it matters to your there are a lot of mods/maps for Dawn of War.

Two Worlds is out? I heard it got rejected for certification by Microsoft for being too buggy, that was the 360 version though.

Can't wait for Bioshock, got it on preorder. Played Oblivion and its expansions for about a year on and off, though I hear that Two worlds is somewhat like it. I will wait for the RPG bug to hit me again before I buy it.

Tom finds ways around getting unrealeased game. You can draw your own conclusion there. Anyways, It's been release din Europe and I have that copy. They have a current 1.4 patch, and a 1.5 patch on the way. I have zero problems with it on XP or Vista.
