Help! Need to find game!
Hey there guys.
Im building a new rig, so im making a list of games i want to get to go with it (will be a nice alternative to uni work this coming semester :P) I remember a game that I played a demo of in a store a while back, and it was AWESOME. But i never had money at that point, or a computer of my own, so I forgot all about it. Now it popped back up in my memory and i want it! I'm really sorry, i only have vague memories of it - but i thought here would be a good start to try and work out or narrow down what it was. It in third person - you were a knight on horseback (quite possibly a samurai, i think the game had an asian flavour to it) and you had a small group of soldiers with you. The battlegrounds/battles were huge, and there were sort of checkpoints that you had to go to - Each one had a squad of guys you had to kill, or a certain leader to eliminate. There were lots of other allied and enemy squads around, doing their own business. It seemed pretty non-linear in the context of the battle. I really cant remember more than that, and i know its almost hopeless, but i thought id give it a shot. (And im sorry for the vague description) Does anyone know of a game that sounds like this?? Or another forum where i might be able to post my crappy description and have more success? Thanks in advance! |

Sorry, doesn't really ring any bells, unless you mean Shogun : Total War Warlord Edition which came out a few years back.
You started with a small group and worked your way up to being, well, the Shogun. It had good reviews and was an RTS game http://search.ign.com/products?genNa...tformSearch=PC

Wait...I know that game...there are several of them. Dyansty Warriors? That sounds very much like the game you are talking about. Non linear, you can choose to ride on horseback...yeah that all matches up. Only thing is, I remember it as a PS2 game, and not for PC. Who knows, maybe it exists. Let us know?

Was it an RTS like Age of Empires style game? If so it could have been Rome Total War? Just throwing that out there =P

Hehe, nah its not Rome Total War.
You actually had control of one individual character, and it was third person in the sense of Max Payne, or GTAIII, i.e. not a birds-eye view. Thanks anyway, though, tom
