Hi WOLFIE44,

I assume when you say "load" you're trying to install the game?

Make sure no DOS based CD-Rom drivers are loading before Windows starts.
If so, then disable in config.sys & autoexec.bat in "System Configuration Utility".

Make sure no DOS based Soundcard drivers are loading before Windows starts.
If so, then disable in config.sys & autoexec.bat in "System Configuration Utility".

System Properties>Performance tab...Change CD-Rom to "No Read-Ahead".

Make sure you only have Explorer and Systray running in the background before attempting to install.

Defrag the Hard Drive

Try reinstalling the game.

HTH

Then uninstall the game using add/remove programs - I've always used Cleansweep - and reinstall it. See if that works.

Incredible! Never known anything like it!

I hope you don't mind, but as this is such a serious problem , I have posted it as a new thread to make others aware of it.

So Wolfie44, what's you're current position? Did you manage to uninstall it?
Any problems showing up?
