either tiger woods 2008 or madden 2008 has in game ads. the one that i have seen, was for drinking and driving, buckle up. the reason it caught my eye, was i saw the ad on tv. i had a deja vu, i've seen that ad before.

Indeed. Thanks for reminding me blue. I downloaded Far Cry, so the ads in the other games may be different.

The ads are in the menus/loading screens, not the game itself. So on the menu pages, you'll see a couple of McDonald's banners. And when you load the game, a MickyD's ad plays for about 15 seconds before the load bar starts. A bit annoying, but the game itself plays just fine afterward. I think its a worthwhile sacrifice for a free game. Though perhaps you shouldn't play when you're hungry.

Cool concept, I would download it... but I already have FarCry and any new games would make me play them rather than doing my homework.

Meh...no exciting titles. Guess this means I won't be getting Bioshock for the price of a few ads.

Interesting, thanks Alaron... I was wondering how they'd work it. I know that an Australian company was developing a live banner for in sports games and the like to play on sideboards and billboards, which is easy for car-racing and sports games, but less desirable for action games.
