lol the $1300 price tag seems to be a typo since its in the buy it now or the seller is "mentally challenged" and doesnt know any better i would get one with the hard drive you really dont need an elite or anything else..... no the games dont lag during game play ... atleast no more than any other system..... online depends on your connection and the server your playing on... yes they have all new games and getting more like Halo 3 and you can play games in 1080i if you have an hd tv

one mote issue please :

about multi player i see xbox dont have massive multi player games..

i mean halo 3 only 4 players online , bf2 only 16 players maps, enemy teritory have only 12 players..

so what is the story? is it limited because of hardware issues?

you can connect to other users via LAN ( multiple 360's hooked up on one network) or you can connect to xbox live which basicly is like playing online on a pc so you have millions of users from several countries playing But you have to pay for xbox live service thats where they get you there. i have used pc to play online and the 360 and they are pretty much the same experience..... if you dont have money for a mid range gaming rig then a 360 is a good choice, i dont think you will be disapointed

You can play over the net with other people that have xbox live accounts. The xbox live silver account is free. YOu can also string the xbox like you would at a lan.

Xbox Live on Xbox 360 also offers a free level of service called Xbox Live Silver which, while not allowing multiplayer gameplay, does offer gamers the ability to create a gamer card and gamertag as well as chat with people on their Friends List and access most of the great content on Xbox Live Marketplace.

_ it say : NOT ALLOWING ONLINE GAME PLAYE.

i dont want massively and crap commercial talk

please tell me DO I GET FULL ONLINE GAMING?? OR NOT? just a yes or no

Silver basically allows you to DL content.

You have to pay for and have Gold for the Multiplayer.

you can connect other xbox together and have a lan that will not require silver or gold.

I am an Xbox and an Xbox 360 owner and I can and will vouch for Xbox. It is an awesome system all around and no it might not have MMOs...but thats for computers IMO. There are lots of good games for it out and coming out and Microsoft is definately on the ball.

It will connect to any tv or monitor with RCA ports. It will also connect to HD tvs with the HD cable which only comes with the Elite system. You can however purchase it sperately.

Side note. It is not wireless. you will have to have a CAT 5e cable to connect it to you router from another room OR you can buy the 100 dollar wireless adapter.

Ok here this should answer pretty much everything.

------TYPES OF XBOX 360's-----

There are currently 3 types of Xbox 360s. The Elite, the Premium, and the Core.

The Elite is black, comes with a 120GB Hard Drive, and has a HDMI port for use with HDTV's, and the normal Xbox 360 AV port which can use a component HD/SD cable (can display in HD if your TV allows, or in SD if the TV is not SD), or a VGA cable (computer moniters).

The Premium is white, comes with a 20GB Hard Drive, and the more recently manufactured ones DO have a HDMI port like the Elite. It also has the standard Xbox 360 AV port.

The Core is white, comes with NO HARD DRIVE, and DOES NOT have a HDMI port. It has no storage device included and only has the standard Xbox 360 AV port.

The resolution it plays at depends on the port and cable you are using to connect to the TV. Using the red/white/yellow cable you cannot use HD resolutions. Using the component HD cable you can use up to 1080i. Using the VGA cable you can use 1080p on some TV's and monitors. Using the HDMI you get the best quality and 1080p (if your TV is 1080p that is).

-----Xbox Live------
There are two types of Xbox Live subscriptions. Silver and Gold.

They can be compared here. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/memberships/?WT.svl=nav

In most games you can play with up to 16 players on Xbox Live over the internet.

If you don't want to play Xbox live, you can play with 3 other people on one TV, or you can system link to play with up to 16 people.

first off , slow down a bit and type properly , or at least close

I would recommend the elite xbox because it has a HDMI port and a 120 gb hard drive , the 120 gb hard drive actually costs more to purchase then the difference between the elite and the premium .

I currently have my 360 hooked up to my computer screen . i have only gotten it to lag once playing oblivion by spawning something like 2000 arrows . so basically i had to cheat to get it to lag .

The units do run hot , but what do you expect for the size of it and the amount of power it has .

My only regret is not waiting for the elite edition because of the HDMI port , correct my if I am wrong but you can't get a HDMI cable for the premium 360 , there isn't a port anyway .

have you looked at the ps3 or wii ?

Some of the Premiums have shipped with HDMI ports.

thank you all for helping me on this thread but as there is so many opinions is see
we are starting to have differences , at the start of the thread they told me i dont need
the elite so i ordered the premium already .. and can you tell me why do i need a 120g
hard drive? i just want to buy a couple of games and playe on line .

olso they told me that xbox have better games than ps3 and i dont like wii games at all..

one more question please i read that xbox360 was released back in 2005. haw long do you
think it will last if i buy it now? will it be outdated by next year? is it better that i wait?
