Geforce MX 400 w/ Tv & Twin View
I recently bought a PCI Inno3D GeForce 400 MX with TV and Twinview (Dual monitor). I have tried to install on two different computer with no success. Any advice welcome.
Computer 1: Acer production computer Installed following directions. The computer would load the title screen (ACER)and give me the option to enter "setup" I tried that and everyting worked fine. Once it was past the setup, the screen goes blank with a blinking curser in the upper left corner and the computer locks up. Variations on the install include removing all other PCI card, disabling all other perfs (thought maybe an IRQ problem), setting the driver to standard VGA, and finally installing the new drivers prior to installing the card. Computer 2: Built, but not by me Installed the card and went through the "found new hardware" screens and loaded the drivers from the CD. There was a problems with the CD and certain files could not be read. I went to Inno3d's site and downloaded the most recent drivers and used those. Each time I boot the computer, I get a message that there is a problem with my video and I need to reinstall the drivers. I even tried older drivers, no change. Ideally, I would be able to put the card in the first computer (newer, faster, more mem and HD space. I would be happy get it to work on either machine because I really just want the TV out feature. Computer 1: Acer Aspire (3 yrs old) 233 Pentium II MX 256 MB ram Windows 98 2nd ed. Thanks! |

Hi ramayes,
I don't have a dual monitor setup or TV Out but...just a thought. Why don't you just install the Geoforce drivers and get your dual monitors working and then try to install just the program for TV out. It may just be the Inno3D setup program which is causing the problem. Just make sure you do a "clean" uninstall of your video drivers each time you change them - and then reinstall DX after each change of drivers. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1883 |
