my suggestion would be to wait and get a Raedeon 8500, which seems like it is near or tops the geforce 3 TI500's performance at a lower cost....

I only just got my GF3, $$$$, its outdated all ready .

Oh well, it will still run all the very latest games for the next 5 years,,, I hope, eek.

But dont you hate that, every 6 $$$ **** months something new comes out. Except for games that use the latest cards The only game thus far that uses my cards full potential is Max Payne, but not by much.

TBird, please refrain from using profanity in future posts. We do not tolerate such language on this forum because there are young people who shouldn't have to be subjected to this type of language.

I've seen several reviews of the new Titanium cards, but haven't seen any reviews that compare various brands head to head. Cards from the different companies will be the same speed (as did the Geforce 3 cards from different companies) so the decision will be based on cost versus support, additional features, packaging, and included games. Less expensive cards will be basically Nvidia Geforce reference boards with Nvidia Detonator drivers. More expensive boards might have additional features (like TV out), proprietary drivers (but you'll probably end up using the Nvidia drivers anyway), a pretty box, and a few games or demos. Visiontek ti500 is $320; an Asustek ti500 is $429.

Interestingly, looking at available ti500's on Pricewatch.com, its doesn't look like there is much choice in this card at this time.

Whoa-- you and Tbird have nice systems. My 14 year old son doesn't know it yet but he's getting a similar system for Christmas (one he'll need to put together himself). Have you had any problems with your KG7?
