Cool need help with disability, setting up controller for 1 hand..

i lost my left hand 2 months ago.. i am trying to set up a controller system to play PC Games with.. here is what i would like to do, i need some feedback as to whether it is doable

i need to use a tiltable top joystick like a Saitek Evo, tendinitis problems, it has 5 buttons for movement/weapons, 4 buttons on the base for save game/restart/ etc and the trigger

i want to use to use the joystick movement ....up/down & side/side to target the cross hairs

use the joystick rudder twist to turn right/left

I'm pretty sure you can use any kind of control as input for games as long as the game supports it. I don't' see why your proposed setup wouldn't work as long as the games support those controls.

You may need to find some software that lets you map the buttons on the controller the way you want them. I think I read that the saitek evo includes software that lets you map the buttons outside of the game control setup menu. The evo looks like a good choice. It sounds like your setup should work.
