Crysis graphics messed up

I just downloaded the demo version of Crysis. The graphics are messed up. In the airplane all I saw were some eyeballs floating around in mid air...it was pretty funny actually. I can see some land feature but cannot see the water except when underwater. Any ideas on what I might try? The screen also seems to be in 4 quadrants.

Also, how is EA's customer support? If it is crap then I won't bother buying the game. Don't need yet one more $50 game that wont work

You most probably need to update your graphics drivers. But I have seen what you described before, though not related to drivers. It was when I tried to run GRAW2 on my desktop with it's 5900 128mb. Though your 7800GTX should be ebough to run the game reasonably well.

Found solution to Crysis graphics mess.

I bought the game Crysis. I am still getting the same thing as the demo....the graphics are messed up in the same way. When loading the real game, at the end of the install, it asked me if I want to check for updates. I clicked yes and a link came up and then Internet Explorer crashed. Does anyone know where this update link is? Or is there anywhere I can find an update? I did a Google search for one but no luck

Thanks

Edit: I went into EA's help forum. A post in there was from a guy who said he turned UP all the graphics settings. I tried the same no luck. So I turned down my monitor settings to 1024X768 (as the customer support recording said to do) and left all the other graphics setting on High and voilla!...It works!

Having the factory default settings on LOW messes up something. Now maybe I will move the graphics settings to medium so I can get a decent frame rate.

Send a message via AIM to NastyNative
If you Down load XFIRE which is a gaming messenger it will actually keep all your games up to date with out you having to fish for updates..

on the tabs ontop you just click on files and xfire automatically detects the game and will have your updates available for you to install .. just double click the update... BAM no more fishing for updates

Make sure you also download the latest windows updates and follow up with the latest video card updates
