How to minimize a full screen game?
Does anyone know how to minimize a full screen game (like Rome Total War). I would like to be able to play the game whilst working on other windows as well.

hit the windows (flag) key.
It will minimize the game and open the start menu. |

CTLR+ESC
Windows Key (which does the same as above ALT+TAB CTRL+ALT+DEL Each of those will take you out of the game. Going back into the game may take anywhere between 10 and 30 seconds. If you want to use IM while gaming, either Steam or Xfire will do the trick without having to minimize.

k, thanks for the help. I was also wondering if you could play a full screen game in a minimized (i.e. not fullscreen) window. As seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_426r6Jdi4
I would like to use taski on Rome Total War which runs in full screen, but you can't capture full screen games with taski. Any help? |
