PC Link to X box

Hello all,
My son has an X box 360 and plays a game I think is called "call of duty"
If I bought the same game for my PC, would I be able to play against him over the internet, or would I need to buy an X box.

Unfortunately no. The only way would be to play on your own Xbox online.

Microsoft did make a 'Windows Live' service which allows multiplayer between the Xbox and the PC but only a few games from Microsoft take advantage at the moment.

Oh well, it looks like I will have to buy an X box.

Thank you for the reply.

If you do you wont be dissapointed. I did not think any game could pull me away from BF2 on the computer but Call of Duty 4 on the xbox has done just that. Man am I addicted. I just got the game on Christmas and am already a Lt Gen and that is with having to balance my online time with time spent with my wife.
They make the online gaming experience very good with all the challenges for you to try and complete. Some of them are crazy like the one where you have to kill 15 people with a grenade without throwing it. So you basically have to sneek up behind someone and pull the pin on a granade and wait 5 seconds for it to go off and kill both of you.
