Team Fortress 2 thread

Hey guys!

Anyone into Team Fortress 2? I'm enjoying the game very much!

Personally, I like all the classes, and the game is quite well-balanced in terms of almost everything. But there are some servers which actually allows fast respawn and in the Capture Point maps, the major inconvenience will be for the blue team. I like the normal style too.

Also, I found out that the weakest class could be an Engineer - not the scout. The scout has a powerful scattergun and runs fast so that will not be too much of a disadvantage. However, if I'm an engineer in the team, it's difficult for me to join the battle - I have to 'sit' at the sentries with the dispensers and start hitting away with the wrench. If I ever run into battle, shotguns and handgun won't even help, the soldiers' rocket and the demos' pipebombs are pretty lethal in crossfire.

You need to play to the strengths of each character... however, the Scout is very popular

Each class has its strengths and weaknesses. I can't say I've really found one class to be weaker than another. Class balancing was done extremely well (although the medic class does suffer a bit since it's not really a combative class).

i like TF2 also.
Each class has it's role. Even when you pick a class they are separated into Defensive and Offensive. Engineer is a Defensive class - his job is to build things and provide support to the team, it's not necessarily a true fighting class as Pyro for example.... You just need to decide what is it that you want to do in the game at this point...

The next major update of TF2 could be unlockable weapons, some new maps (one of them is a Goldrush - escort the cart) and new acheivements pack.

I would like to really see a soldier with a tommy gun. Ha ha... shotgun is too generic!

But grenades will make the game tougher... and more complex!

Interesting note...games without shotguns don't tend to end up being very popular for some reason

Forget shotguns, I prefer automatics. I like being able to send a lot of rounds downrange as quick as possible.
