Steam and orange box question

Guys i need an answer asap as i want to reformat my machine tonight.

I have Orange box which i purchased on steam...it works perfect and no problem at all but if i re-install windows this means i will have to download steam again and download all hte games i have again like HL2,HL2;EP1,EP2,TF2, etc.

is there a way i could make it so i dont have to re download them all again because all the games are like 2Gb+ in size and it takes forever

i have a partition on my hard drive which i store all my documents etc so could i move the game files to there and after re-installing windows on my windows partition put the steam files back after installing steam?
