Is there a trick to loading software on

Hey I have a friend’s brand new laptop by xoticpc out of California. It's built on a Clevo 901 c but has a Sager name on it. Anyway he is running Windows XP Home O/S , Intl Core Duo 2.66, three hard drives in RAID 0 config, 4 gig RAM, with 2 nVidia 7950 cards. He wanted me to install Microsoft Flight Sim X on it. I could not get it to install. It is a brand new copy I had never used, but just in case it might be bad, I tried installing my copy. Same thing happened, it starts install just fine but when it comes time to put in second disk, it hangs. So I tried installing my version of Microsoft Flight Sim 9. That comes with 4 disks. It installed ok but it won’t run. All I get is the opening splash screen. In both cases the programs are hung and appear like they are waiting for or searching for some kind of file or command. I was thinking he has RAID 0, is this the problem. Is there some kind of special way you have to install software on a laptop configured with RAID 0. I am going to try and install another program on here one with only 1 disk see if I can get that to run. Little help please.

Thanks Ken

Don't know if this would really help, but make sure that you are installing the game on the master hard drive and not one of the slave hard drives. Good Luck.

That laptop is powerful enough to run it.
You can use Windows Explorer to copy the game to a folder on the hard drive and try installing it from there.

Also, though you shouldn't have to do it with a brand new laptop, make sure your friends software, the DX and the installer and so on is up to date and that you're using the admin account.

RAID 0 turns separate drives into one drive.
There is no slave.
