Omg, I need help removing Roller Coaster 3
I installed the RCT3 and Soaked. I update only RCT 3 and then I decided to remvoe everything, but here is the annoying part. It keep on saying that something is missing and it cannot install when I try the provided Uninstaller. Add and Remove does nothing but experiencing the same problem.
Anyone knows? Edit: Ok I can remove RCT 3 by having the CD in the drive while uninstalling it. New problem now, Soaked will not get removed w/ RCT 3. Edit: Ok, Window Restore just got it, but now I want to know how to irradiate everything related to the game; registry and any leftover fragments. Can someone please guide me how to clean the registry. I'm super pissed.... Last edited by Ahura; 01-26-2008 at 03:05 AM. |

If you haven't already install CCleaner : http://www.ccleaner.com/
Also go here for the Windows Installer clean-up : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301 Run the Windows software first and then follow with CCleaner for the Registry clean up. If you have RegCleaner on your system you can follow up with that instead and skip installing and using CCleaner.

Um, how do I supposed to use the MS' one? o I just selec the program and let it does itself?
Well, I uninstalled the game already. Just a bit paranoid of any leftovers. Edit: Ran the Window Utility and cannot find the game on the provided list, so I just quit. Followed w/ CCleaner and nothing is found to be related w/ the game; though I found some reg that associated w/ other games, which I wanted to clean up anyway. Also, the reg show a huge list of "suspected" reg. How credible is the list? Last edited by Ahura; 01-26-2008 at 03:22 PM. |

CCleaner is very reliable.
"Lost" registry entries are an on going problem since many things don't un-install cleanly or, worse, just leave entries from updates in place ( The Apple Installer cache is a known offender. ). It's not hard to acquire quite a back log. |

Kind of weird to ask, but how do you know when it is clean?
I am pretty paranoid when it come to keeping things in order; this CCleaner just introduced me to a whole new area of paranoia. |
