Question HELP!! need help on new graphics card

need help on which video card to get. the ATI 8500 or geforce 3 ti 500? too confusing on the reviews they give.thanks. I trust your opoions.also is there any difference in which company make it? the geforce 3.

Well, if the reviews are confusing, it probably means they're about equal products. Since, the 8500 is cheaper, then it's the better deal.

Not necessarily. I own a geforce 3 and wouldn't trade in for the world. The geforce 3 ti 500 is supposed to be 10% faster than the vanilla geforce 3. If that is true, it would be all the card you will need. I haven't heard much about the ATI card, except that it has driver issues, but I can't remember where I read them. I'll check around at the sites I visit. I'll try to scrounge up some reveiws and opinions.
BTW, if money is an issue, you could be better off going with a 64meg geforce 2, ultra or gts. Both are good cards for less than the geforce 3. My opinion is to drop the cash for the three, though. Cya soon.

I read a few other posts by prew that have strengthened my resolve that the geforce 3 is the better card. He has posted on this forum; you just need to browse a little. I plan to reread a few; I'll post the addresses here.
