Serial key question

I've lost my Rome: Total War serial key and am wondering if there is a way to get a new one from the publisher. I have the cd's and even the box, but I lost the document the numbers came printed on.

Is there a legal way to resolve this without having to buy a new copy of the game? Is it still illegal to use a serial found online if you own the game?

Yes it is illegal to use a serial key online. Also if you use a cracked serial key, your multiplayer won't work.

Did you have the game installed on your computer previously? If you did you might be able to retrieve it in the registry.

You could attempt a call to their support line...they might be able to help if you have the UPC and/or serial number, but other than that, I'd say you're out of luck.
