Does FSX utilise quad core technology?

I'm a flight sim fan and was considering quad-core but only if FSX utilises it.

If you have the latest patch/service pack it is supposed to be multithreaded. How much difference a quad core makes vs dual I'm not too sure. I'm kinda wondering the same thing myself.
