RPG of the year Legend: Hand of God
Any fellow gamers out there? THQ is bringing a the game that won RPG of the Year in Germany to the U.S. It's called Legend: Hand of God and it's for PCs. I'd heard of it and seen screencaps that looked pretty amazing, but it was this trailer that completely blew me away:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=0GPj6rulQmg I'm definitely going to need to build my new gaming computer in time for this! The graphics look pretty sweet, and the whole deal with the finishing movies looks amazing, what with cutting off the zombie's head or knocking down the orc (think it's an orc?) and stabbing it and all. I've been waiting for a PC fantasy RPG that could touch the old school Diablo II... this one looks like it might just do that! http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...ndHOGCover.jpg Last edited by glc; 06-24-2008 at 05:33 PM. |

Please do not post large inline images. I have edited yours to a link. I'm also moving this to the gaming forum. - Admin - |

Looks a lot like Dark Alliance for PS2. I'm usually not a big fan of RPGs (especially MMORPGs), but this might be worth a look.

The guy on the cover looks like the last samurai. Havn't heard anything about this one but looks like it can be a decent game. Will have to look into the details more.

Yeah, there isn't much out about this game yet. I'm hoping for some more screencaps or demos or something soon. Hasn't been a good fantasy RPG title in a while for the PC... I'm definitely ready for something good. And I like the time they've taken with this one, as all aspects seem pretty good... good gameplay, good graphics, good story (apparently the woman who wrote Bioshock wrote this, too!) just an all around good game. I'm definitely picking it up once it comes out. |

There's a cool interview with the creative director up:
http://www.destructoid.com/destructo...ck-94217.phtml It's sounding like it'll be really atmospheric, and I'm all for that. Def. one of my most anticipated PC games of the summer. |

it looks like a cross between Neverwinter Nights and Titan Quest.

I can definitely see the Titan Quest comparison... I'm a huge fan of that game, so if Legend is anything like that I will be satisfied. I'm sure the graphics won't disappoint.

You should try an FPS for sure they have way better graphics. If I saw a modern combat MMORPG i'd be intrerested but orcs and magic dust etc doesn't appeal to me.

Normally I'm the same way but the graphics in this are amazing. I mean, I've done the survival horror and the FPS and everything, but these graphics are really great too. I actually went out and picked up the game and played it. On top settings it actually strains my computer's video card, and the graphics are pretty phenomenal. As for the magic stuff... mostly I'm in this one for the gameplay. It's pretty sweet, and the story is awesome so far. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it, I'd guess, and I'm really hooked. |
