I still like Diablo 1 for the originality of it and with graphics/cpus getting better Diablo 3 should be a great game.

Diablo 3 Woooo

Hooo

D1 is awesome. The graphic might be primitive to today standard, but it has a unique feel of its own. If only Blizzard would keep some of that elements, and incorporate them into D3; such as dark and gloomy, and death scary. I hate doing the Hell level, where you basically walk in the park to off Diablo. It's hella scary and panicking.

All I can say is, hopefully Blizzard doesn't shoot themselves in the foot for having two big MMO's where they will be competing with eachother.

D3 wont be an MMO. It wont even be like Guild Wars. It will be like D2 with some better graphics and tweaks in class and skills. It is still a top down adventure RPG. I was relieaved when I found out it wasnt going to be like WoW

Well that is good to hear. My buddies were telling me it was going to be more similar to WoW. Guess it's time to do some extra reading while i'm here at work 0.o

You should assault your buddies w/ fury of a rampaging horse

D3 is not going to be WOW, because that would be blasphemy. it's going to be a grind nightmare, just like D2, but that is fine too.

Like WoW is not blasphemy (turning a tongue in cheek classic RTS into a pimple faced sausage fest)?

Then again, it works and work wonders; 9 million players wonder. WOW was just at the right time w/ the right idea, a lil bit shaky, but it was right. But I think they are pushing it, Burning Crusade and Lich King. Personally, I see the reign of WOW is slipping away.

Anyhow, back to D3.......Uh SWEET!

D3 definitely won't be like WoW in terms of MMO. Blizzard has a fourth game waiting in the wings that they have yet to unveil. That game is "assumed" to be a new MMO. Whether its going to be based off the Starcraft or Diablo franchises has yet to be stated. Many think its going to be a World of Starcraft if you will, but Blizzard keeps hinting on a new game all together, which is out of the realm of the three big ones.

I say that they will resume to work on Ghost, it is very probable. Blizzard is just basically reaping in the spotlight.

What's that, what does EA has? Oh yes, Nothing! XD

Blizzard is smart, if it's one thing they know how to do is they know how to make great games. Every single one of there big franchises (Starcraft, Diablo, Warcraft) were the best selling games of their times, every single expansion.

Now they have:

The best Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) in World of Warcraft, best of all time in terms of gameplay and pure numbers (10+ million subscribers). Everquest at it's peak wasn't more than 1 million subscribers.

The best Real Time Strategy (RTS) game in Starcraft. Do I need to say more? The earth will shake when part 2 of this game is released, especially in Korea where this game is like life or death to some people.

The best Multiplayer Role Playing Game (MRPG) in Diablo. Another crazy game worldwide, do I need to say more?

I really want to know come 2009 during winter, when Starcraft 2 and Diablo 2 will be released by then, and the WoW expansion...

HOW RICH WILL BLIZZARD BE????!!!!?!!?!

And I seriously doubt any game will top these games in their categories...

If you check out ActivisionBlizzard webpage, you see that all of Blizzard's big titles are placed after Activion's titles. Doesn't that tell you something.

Horrible decision, just plain horrible. First it was Vivendi and now Activision. I mean, wt heck, it looks as if Blizzard itself has no part in the merge, but only Activision and Vivendi.

I don't think I would like the future of Blizzard Entertaiment.

Well, if you look online at EBgames and Gamespot, they are listing a November release for the WoW expansion and a December release for Starcraft 2. Now they do say a December 31st release on D3, but realistically I don't see that occurring. Blizzard panel did however say they have been working on D3 for four years, so anything is possible. Starcraft 2 is probably a definite lock for a December release. What better than to have the game arrive for the holiday season?

Hi all... new to the fourm.

Just wanted to get a feeling for what other Diablo fans are saying about Diablo 3... and it is DEFINETLEY mixed.

Personally I think 3 is an improvement over its predecessors. In my opinion 1 and 2 seemed unfinished and almost too dark and dismal. The brighter areas of the game will add an interesting contrast that we haven't seen before.

I came across another survey... this one to show our appreciation to Diablo 3 developers. Sign it if you want.

I've been a blizzard fan ever since I got into gaming, a little Diablo, a little more Starcraft, then got into WC2, WC3, and eventually WoW. I played WoW from release until about 3 months ago...it was a great game at first (my first MMO, except for a little FFXI). TBC really was a big step back, and now the game has turned into a laughingstock of catering to ultra-casuals. Anyways, enough about WoW. I'm really looking forward to classic-style SC2 and D3 while I wait for a new Blizzard MMO (or other MMO, I just really think Blizzard has premiere MMO-making skills...and RTS too, of course). In conclusion, blizzard is the &^#$.

Any speculation on the other new classes? do you think the will bring back some of the old classes? If so what new balance aspects do you want/ think there will be? Please nerf the zons!

there are suppose to be five classes with two new ones, so hopefully they will be dropping the necro and the zon. personally I like D3's graphics, in 1 and 2 the dark, doom and gloom got old after a while. i cant wait for this to release along with Fallout 3 and Space Siege.

I loved playing the Necro in Diablo 2, they have to keep the Necro! The amazon was fun too, hopefully they keep both!

I am looking forward to Fallout 3 more than anything, I love the Elderscrolls games and the post-apocalyptic setting is going to be awesome.

My favorite character is the Necromancer but I haven't heard anything about that class for D3. Though the new Witch Doctor looks really cool. I mean, he can do a Wall of Zombies, how cool is that?

Wizard Class was just added to the site. I am pretty sure they will be changing up all the classes. Other wise it would just be a revamped D2
