FEAR 1) Health greater than 199? 2) Shadows!!
The first couple of times I played FEAR, I got 195 for health. Just finished it again, and got 199! So I'm thinking this is the cap on health?
Anybody know the upper limits on health? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I played it again as I (finally) got a little better vid card and wanted to see how shadows looked at playable frame rates .. and shadows definitely make the game a lot more fun!! I thought I'd see more bad guy shadows than I did, though, but I made use of the ones I did see. |

Yeah, the health is capped at 199. I first played through the game on my laptop which got about 20fps, the game was quite scary at point. But on my faster desktop which gets 80fps on maximum it has lost a lot of its "fearness". If I play on my laptop again, it gains back its "fearness". I guess for me a low FPS is better in FEAR.

My old setup wasn't as bad as 20 fps, but then I was playing low res (1024?) with a things turned off, like shadows. But it was still scary. I think the music has a lot to do with it. Maybe it's the anticipation factor at the lower fps??
