A quick search brought up: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Partially in answer to the question, I stay far, far away from WoW.

Yep, it's the next expansion for World of Warcraft. Still no firm release date slated, although people are guessing November. Which is the month the original came out, and the month the last expansion came out.

Personally, I am very excited about it. I have been getting tired of the game, but after getting into the beta I've changed my mind. It seems they are trying to go back to the "old" style of WoW. It looks more like the original as far as scenery with a more traditional fantasy setting. The landscapes are absolutely beautiful in Wrath. TBC killed it for me with the "spacey" scene.

Staying far away is what I should have done too. Been playing since '05 now

Ever tally up how much that game has cost you total? Must be well over $500.

The last expansion they released killed it for me. Made it way to noob friendly and too pvp focused. I sold my first account on ebay and started another but haven't been playing for nearly a year. I would like to play again if I could find a guild that wasn't a bunch of elementary kids.

WoW is kind of like caffeine, if you get "hooked" on it its hard to stop playing for any extended period of time. You know it's not good but it's just so much fun. It is up for preorder now though. I don't recall the release date though. I'll play it though, I will just refuse to get wrapped up in raiding again. Too much time imho. It is fun though, I miss Naxx =)

totally off topic CS > All (except mario)

lemme do my own math : 3.5 years of playing WoW =12months x 3.5 years =42 months x 15$ a month = 630$ total

in the past on average I would buy a new game 50$ per 2 months =21 games x50$= 1050$ total

that's just a rough estimate.

guild website www.shadowedsoul.com

average age of players in guild is 35, some are 50 and a few are in their 60s they've been playing together since 2002 with EQ

a few characters I have that you can check Spyder is Usil on Ysera , Saxion on Ysera and Ellesana on Ysera

experience with the game : priceless

Regards,

Propain
