Brand Name Video Cards Better, Faster??

I've decided to upgrade to a GeForce2 TI 200. I looked at different "Name Brand" cards and had decided on the VisionTek, as it was a well known card with the best price. After looking at several different cards I noticed that the "Spec's" were not all the same. The VisionTek spec's listed :GRAPHICS CORE ... 175MHz; MEMORY ... 64MB DDR/128-bit wide; MEMORY CLOCK ... 400 MHz SDR Equivalent; MEMORY BANDWIDTH ... 6.4 GB/sec.
HERCULES #D PROPHET spec's were : AMOUNT OF RAM (MB) ... 64MB; TYPE OF RAM ... DDR; SPEED OF RAM (MHz) ... 500; SPEED OF RAM (ns) ...4.0; BANDWIDTH (GB/s) ... 5.6

As you can see memory bandwidth spec's 6.4 VisionTek vs 5.6 for Hercules; Memory clock 400 VisionTek vs 500 Hercules.

I got these spec's for the cards web page. My question is : Do these numbers mean that the Hercules is a faster card? If different cards are faster, which are the fastest? The Hercules is about $50 more then the VisionTek, is the Hercules worth that $50 extra?
