I hold a preference to the ATI Radeon cards. Good speed and excellent picture quality.

Well...I got a GeForce 2 MX200 w/ 32megs of RAM for about $45. Yeah, it's not all that, but all the games I have run smoothly on it. The only game that I've encountered problems with is Quake 3 in 32 bit color. Running quake 3 in 16 bit color gives me really smooth frame rates.
But I recommend you get a Radeon or GeForce 3 Ti 200 card if you like to play a lot of games. I'm not much of a gamer so I decided to get a bargin videocard. If you're wondering where I got my card from, I ordered it from www.newegg.com Hope that helps. Last edited by chpco2000; 11-06-2001 at 10:21 AM. |

The Geforce Ti cards look card-- I just picked up the Geforce3 Ti200 for $164 and it included a the game Sacrifice. This is the cheapest I've seen for this card.

Just a quick question, is the Radeon 7500 faster than the Radeon LE?

before you go asking for suggestions for a video card
you should know some background what games do you want to play? do you have any agp slots free? what's your processor speed? what's your price range? otherwise you'll get lots of answers, many of which may not even be options for your computer |
