Hey everyone, i have recently taken up the game, WoW, how many others are there on pcmech forums that play?
If so, what server are you on, class, race and level?
i cant wait for WotLK

well its not too bad, if i dont want to play i dont, i have some sense of justice of not being too adicted to stuff, lol. And im sure u would like it now with the like 2.6 WotLK patch and all the new quests, pluss, the entire gameplay has pretty much changed with loads more AddOns! If u want i can send u one of my trial codes.

Weird thing is im not too exited about the exp. For TBC I stood in line at the midnight thing, but theres no chance ill be out there tonight lol.

How is everyone finding Lich King?

Part of me wants to go back to see what it's like, but I only came back for 3 mths after TBC, which was fun but ultimately it all seemed a bit pointless in the end... (once I'd got my flyer and had some fun on it :-)

Well, at this point I only buy and play single player games. It seems the online games are designed just to suck money out of peoples' pockets. What I like about box games is: there is a beginning, a middle, and an end. You accomplish a goal. Online games just go on and on and on like some soap opera. So, I avoid them. I mean, box games are designed to take your money too, but they aren't quite as greedy about it.

ones personal opinion, this is a WoW forum not x-box, lich kin i cant use atm, im only lvl 48 atm, i bought it 4 ins after it released though! ive played dk and its rather nice actually, but the contols of some stuff, ie the cannon within the starting area takes a while to get used to

just got mah first epic, it was from a normal person, just a trash mob, lol, it was a shield, "The Green Tower" i cant use it cos im a hunter on thurissan, lookin to just give it away lol

nah, what I mean is WoW is a shadow of its former self. It's not half as great as it used to be, the add-ons really watered it down. The first year and a half it was out it was a completely different game, much more hardcore as far as end level content, raiding, and pvp. They made it way too noob friendly...

WoW seems to go through it's ups and downs content and otherwise. I'm in a raiding guild so I enjoy the game for guild interaction and beating hard bosses. There are a lot of features i really like with Lich King. That said, The first boss encounters have been incredibly easy to date. The only real challenge has been Malygos and I think we figured out the solution to him last night. I think Blizz did themselves proud graphically. Certainly, the most beautifully rendered zones to date, imo.

If I had to do it over again I'd roll on a pvp server. Frankly the suspense of having to look over my shoulder all the time adds spice to the game that you don't get on pve servers. That and I think in general pvp server players tend to be better overall (perhaps more spacially aware etc).

As far as WoW losing it's sparkle for people. That's probably a natural progression going from something new to /yawn been there done that.

My biggest disappointment is that rogues in the expansion are no longer the dps machines they were previously. I hope they remedy that at some point or at least balance it out a bit.

If you like the game FEAR and you get a character leveled up enough. Try out Death Knights, the starting questlines are the best ever and they are an extremely powerful class.
