"Where" into what folder do i load a new game.?
my computer loaded a game into a folder that cant be accessed.. this could be the source of many of my game problems
how do i set them up to all be in the same place and have them all work .. i couldn't find it in C:/ i only found it by clicking 'Custom Download" during reinstall it showed up in a folder listed there, and i was able to track it down. it is not listed in "Un-Install Programs and Features" .. can i delete it from there, and download it somewhere else.. like the Windows Game list... which would be really handy.. how do i do that.??? sorry to be such an annoyance, i built a computer to play games and ..it needs tweek'n to play them.. ANTEC 900 Case. ASUS Rampage Formula X48. Intel Xeon 3110 3MHz Core2 Duo. VISTA 64bit Home Premium. Silent Knight2 CPU cooler. 8GB OCZ Reaper HPC DDR2 1400. 2x Western Digital Caviar 500GB HD RAID1. VisionTec Radeon HD 3870 1 Gb. Cosair 750 watt PSU OPTI UPS Battery Back Up. Last edited by passn_thru2; 11-24-2008 at 03:40 PM. Reason: no signature |

Uninstall the game, create a file where you want to put the game. Windows already has a folder called "Games"..so put it there perhaps?
When you go to reinstall your game, change the destination to the folder where you want to put the game. Sometimes games just want to put themselves in their own little place (like EA Games folder) scattering your games to many different folders....don't let your games do that to you. I like putting all my games under one roof where I can find all of them easily.

I agree but there's a problem, Vista is set up to put all games in its games folder, supposedly :
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...97cff1033.mspx So it looks like something else isn't quite right. What games do you have installed and what, if any, install changes have you made ?
