Hi bee,
I'm not a gamer, but does this happen in only 1 game or all your games? Check with the game websites for patches or fixes. Have you updated your video card drivers and updated DirectX? Those CPU temps are a little high. Have you tried taking the case cover off to see if things improve? If the games don't drop to the desktop with the cover off, then you know you have a cooling problem. An easy thing to try first is to make sure your cables and wires are placed neatly out of the air paths to your CPU and video card. Try routing them differently so that air can circulate freely through your case. Also, make sure the areas around the fans are clear of dust bunnies that can prevent air flow. If your case is a mini-tower, you may want to look into getting a bigger case that will allow for better air flow and avoid "hot spots". What kind of heatsink/fan are you using on that 1.33 Athlon? You may want to try a better one. If you don't mind extra fan noise, the Thermalright SK-6, GlobalWin CAK38, Vantec CCK-6035D or Thermosonic Thermoengine are all very good coolers. You can check these out at these websites: http://2cooltek.com/ http://www.inflowdirect.com/ http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/index.html Cricket
