I want to get a DVD player but I don't have much money.
I found one that looks good but I wanted to see if it works good first. Could you check it out? Here is the link to it. http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=...at=32&scat=244

Hi BassMaster4000,
To be honest, I've never heard of Mintek, and it seems to be the cheapest one listed, which brings up the saying "You get what you pay for." I'd go for one of the name brand players listed like Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, or Samsung (I've had good luck with Samsung products). If you don't want to spend that much just get DVD drive for your computer. I have one and it fits my DVD need perfectly.

It's $159 for a refurbished player, not really a good deal. For $159 you can get a brand new Pioneer DVD Player — DVD-341 or for $129 the Samsung DVD Player — DVDM101, both better quality and from Best Buy's site.

Hi,
Well, if you're dead set on silver, if you look on the site, the RV30S is not available in silver anymore, only in black. It also mentions that the RV31S is it's higher quality replacement. Given that and that the RV31S is $20 cheaper I'd go for the RV31S (not to mention that you can have it in silver if you want to ). Hope this helps.

Ya that helps a lot. Thanks. Now if I could just convince my dad into getting it. He doesn't want to get it online because he is afraid it might get damaged in the mail. But that is the only place they have it.
