Recovery Mission help in Crysis???
I'm new to first person shooters and I have been playing Crysis for a couple of days and I am stuck. I am in the recovery mission in single player. I found the archaeologist and now I have to destroy the 2 KPA tanks. So I go out there with the missile launcher and blow both of them up. It says I completed the objective of destroying the tanks but then no new objectives appear. No green dots appear on the map, I have no clue what to do now?? So what do I do now? Sorry for being such a newb and I just got into gaming. On a positive note my PC plays Crysis fine with the graphics settings on high and the anti aliasing set to none.

After you blow up the tanks, head past the village toward the jungle (you enter on one side of the village, blow up the tanks, exit on the opposite side). You then make your way up a hill and continue.

Will it give me an objective after I leave the village and head into the jungle? This game is fun and its hilarious watching and listening to the Koreans. I just need to get better. thanks

I got into the jungle and killed some of the KPA troops but nothing new shows up on the map? I found a guide to follow and I think I can figure out how to finish the level. In the guide there is a screen shot which shows a green dot showing where you need to go, but I don't have that. What am I doing wrong?

Well I followed the guide and got to the waterfall by the cave. Nothing was there. *** is there something wrong with the saved game or something? Ever since I blew up the 2 tanks no new green objectives have appeared on my tactical map in the lower left corner of the screen. Something is not right here???

I believe there is a way to check objectives. You should do that and go from there. Are any of your sqaud mates in game telling you that you are going the wrong way?

If I hold the tab button it shows objective to blow up the tank and nothing else. After I blew up the tanks I never heard another thing from my teammates. I restarted the mission and I'll see if it works right tomorrow. Maybe it had something to do with installing all the patches? I think it was a glitch but I'll see if it happens when I play tomorrow. But shouldn't there have been a green objective marker showing where the rendezvous point was?

I reinstalled Crysis and did the mission again. The same thing happened. *** Can someone confirm that after you blow up the tanks a new objective should appear on the strategic map???

I did some research and it is a bug, but how do I fix it and get the objective display to update???

I found a link to a game file that has the mission where the objective display works and I played from there. All is well now. But, I can't believe they haven't fixed this bug yet. It seems that lots of people are having this issue and they have done nothing to fix it.

I was not aware of that bug- but for future reference- obtaining a new objective after completing an earlier one is not a problem in Crysis (unless there is a bug).
