Hi whr2206,
I don't have a PS2, but I doubt there will be any problems. It's a console after all, so it's designed to take some bumping and crashing. As long as it isn't smashed really hard (ex. the car suddenly breaks and the console slams into the back of a seat), you shouldn't have any problems. As for the CD, there's nothing really that can scratch it inside the console, I don't know how much "skip/shock protection" the CD reader in the PS2 has though. Hope that helps.

It has been my experience that books tend to travel well, too.
![]() The only problem you might happen upon would be crossing the Mason-Dixie line. Pennsylvania roads are absolutely horrible. No joke. I think PA gets the most federal money for road maintanence, yet the roads still stink. Once you see that welcome sign, be prepared to dodge some house-sized potholes. I really do not think you will have any troubles. We used to do the same thing in our Sub with Nintendo and the VCR for long road trips. Respectfully, Demosthenes |

Couldnt hurt
Couldn't hurt to put a bed of foam rubber, or some simmilar whatnot to kinda cushion it. Hey you could even go to your local mailboxes etc.. type place (support small buis) and get some sty peanuts and a box and load it vertically in the box in a buncha peanuts, at an angle that the tray could still eject. There by giving the PS2 an almost safe-as-it-is-while-being-shipped-from-the factory_like protection. In fact I have a friend who works at NASA and he could get his hands on a palymer that is about i inch thick but provides the cushion of about 4 matresses. It is designed to crate raw eggs into space for the astronaughts who like to poach thier eggs in low g. Anyways, what was I talkign about?
