COD 4 variety map pack token

I went out and bought the Call of Duty 4 game of the year edition today (Xbox 360), and was told that it included a free token for the variety map pack. The guys at Gamestop thought it would be in there, and if not, then the maps would be included on the disk.

After opening it I've found neither, and the main multiplayer menu is encouraging me to download the map pack for 800 gamer points. I know the guy at Gamestop, and he was really apologetic when I called him back to tell him...so I'm not blaming them for any potential ripoff. They actually tried to sell me a used copy when I was there since I would have saved about $15 with my Gamestop card, but I wanted the new one with the maps.

Anyway, does anyone know if the maps are still included, or was that a promotional tool for when they released the new edition? I know the map pack was released the same day as the GOTY edition, so I'm kind of suspecting that was the case. Hopefully I've just overlooked the promo code - only the instruction book was in the case, and there's no code on the back of it.
