System Performance Question

I was wondering if anyone knows if this seems right. I seem to only be able to run Crysis/Crysis Warhead at minimum settings, we'll at least that is the recommended settings with screen res at 1280x 720. I would think that I should be able to crank it up some. Any thoughts?

Samsung 22" (native res 1680x1050)
AMD 955be
MSI 790FX-GD70
OCZ 4gigs DDR3 1600
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD4890
Windows 7 RC1

Thanks Pam,

I think my problem may be with my memory config. I think I need to reconfig it in BiOS, I'm still running the default settings. It seems that my P4 machine ran just as fast if not faster than my new rig, especially with CS3. I bought faster memory with intentions of OC'ing in the near future, so that's why I have DDR1600 mem, so I guess I need to look into this.

Could this be the cause?

It's certainly possible.
Grab the September 2009 edition of Maximum PC; on page 17 read the letter and the reply about- 1066 RAM.
The voltage and timings suggested may save you some grief.

edit : I mean 1600

Dang it! I was just at borders. lol Thanks, I'll have to give that a glance.

I re-config'd the RAM, and so far everything is much faster and very stable. Crysis Warhead's optimal settings now are at "Gamer" settings, and I put it on 8X AA and everything runs smooth as silk. Still not sure if I have everything set up right, but I think I'm making progress.
