dumb card
boy, i have bad luck with expansion cards. first it was my sound card, which is now working, then it was my modem, that is now working. now its my video card. it is stuck in a safe mode looking screen without the words same mode in the corner. i cant get into property settings because everytime i try, i go into dos without a command prompt. please help me. i have a geforce2 mx400

Go into safe mode, change to the Standard VGA driver, uninstall all Nvidia related software, reboot, make sure any applicable motherboard AGP drivers are installed, and THEN reinstall your card drivers.
