Saints Row 2 For PC

Does anyone else have Saints Row 2 for the PC? I have it but I am trying to play it on a Dell XPS M1530. I would play games on my PC but when I'm on TDY's or deployed I use my notebook for gaming.

I have everything on low settings and gameplay is still a bit glitchy. My GPU drivers are now updated. That took 4 hours to download. I think I should of upgraded the CPU though.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2.00GHz
Memory: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
Optical Drive: Matshita BD-RE UJ 225S

Is there anything I can do so the game can run smooth?

Your basic problem is that you have the minimum spec processor but turning of anything running in the background may help .

Since you apparently like Action/Adventure games download Indigo Blue, a vastly underrated game.
It's on Steam and/or Direct2Drive and should work comfortably with your laptop's specs.

I will see what I can turn off. I might try turning off themes. I have another laptop but it's a little bigger. It's an Alienware M9700.
