WGT and other online golf games

I just started playing golf on wgt.com. Do any of you virtual duffers out there know anything better or like to play this one?

I have never played the game on wgt.com.

I sometimes play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 version on the PC. Its great software with some absolutely beautiful versions of real golf courses like Pebble Beach, Augusta and St Andrews, but like all golf games, its unrealistically easy. There is no way in hell I am going to score under 90 at Pebble Beach, even on my luckiest days. Its fun though to get to play my favorite athlete, Tiger Woods.

Its consistently rated as the best golf game for the PC. Its also not very demanding on the graphics hardware. There are hundreds of course available by free download.

Thanks David. Are there very many people playing '08 online? That's the only thing I don't like about Tiger golf is you feel like you have to buy the new version every year.

Were you able to get out and see the President's Cup at all? Being from NorCal I've played that course and others in the area.

You should get on WGT.com and try it. I play under the name mulligunz....do an "invite" and we'll play a round. I like it cuz there's nothing to download although there's not a lot of variety on courses and shot making though.

Thanks. There is no need to buy a new version each year. The improvements are not significant enough to justify doing that. Besides, Tiger just became a billionaire..he is not hurting for money.

I have never attended a big golf tournament. I want to one day that's for sure. I will have to check out wgt sometime. Take care.

Yeah I was just looking and noticed on Amazon that there isn't an '09 for PC. I'm use to my son's playstation games and for those games, including Tiger, they put out a new version every year.
