Change of 3d Card
I know there's been a lot of posts on 3d cards but some advice please.
I'm running a 1.4 Athlon, 512meg ddr ram with a 32meg Gforce2mx at the moment. Everything runs well but some newer games (Red Faction, AVP2 etc) still slightly "jerk" at high res and I think my card is beggining to show its limitations and holding up the rest of the system? So I was thinking of investing a GForce3 Titanium200/500. Would I see a noticeable performance increase do you think? If so, is it worth getting the 500 over the 200 as I'm on a budget and it is noticeably more expensive. Thanks:>) |

I think that you will certainly notice better results, that card is almost 50% better in QuakeIII Arena benchmarks

If your athy is using a VIA chipset board, check this out, so you know what to expect in advance.
