Ping monitor software?

I play a lot of GW which includes a ping monitor. It’s a nice feature determining lag. But you need to have it running to see it. Is there any freeware worth downloading that would basically set in the background not consuming too many resources that you would recommend?

Check to see if there is an in-game command for displaying the ping and FPS.

Otherwise, there's an app called fraps that should be able to show you what you want.
