game freezes

I have a problem that just came up. Some of my games freeze that used to work just fine. The games are Age of empires three plus war chiefs, age of mythology and titian quest demo. The rest of my games run fine. When the game locks up it happens randomly after about 15 minutes. Most of the time the screen freezes as well as the mouse pionter and the speakers loops a random sounds like clicking, schreeching, beeping, staticy sounds, etc. Sometimes the moniter just shuts off and won't turn on until reboot. Sometimes it shuts off and the moniter lights for adjusting it start flashing in a wave sequence.

My specs are:
Windows xp home
service pack three
Intel Pentium 4 cpu 2.00GHz
2.00GB RAM
Diamond s100 128mb DDR Radeon 9600 SE
Creative Sound Blaster PCI512
Legacy Audio Driver
Envision EN-710 & EN-710e monitor
Directx 9.0 (4.09.0000.0904)

All of the games are patched up to date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. memory (ram)

2. Your video card (Diamond s100);

3. Possibly psu but I do not really see that being the case

Remove each ram stick and see if you observe any of the system issues. If you can replace a video card (borrow from a friend or another home pc). Your last choice would be to replace the psu.

Open 'Event Viewer' and see if the errors are listed.

I have a few MCLogEvent errors, an MpSampleSolution error, and quite a few crypt32 errors the last two happend around the time my computer froze yesterday.

Should I remove one ram stick and check or both at once?
