Well. After reading up on it, you wouldn't need a gaming machine. All processing is done on the OnLive servers and is then sent to the OnLive console that they provide. As long as your PC can run videos well, you are pretty much able to play any game they offer.

I don't think this will kill gaming on a computer/console, it might drop the sales there...but that's it. If you don't have a connection, you can't play...that seems really dumb to me. And to be streaming this game to whatever box your using and then playing a game on line that's lag free? yeh...not gonna work well with bad connections. Does this even have support for a "modding" community (the thing I'm thinking about is the whole L4D sites that host content that's user created such as this one http://www.l4dmaps.com/)

If they charge the $15/month they are planning PLUS charging for each game then I do not think it will take off. Also, the best you'll get is 720p streaming video which is no match for high resolution renderings on your own PC.

It is heavily dependent on a low latency connection and even with that I don't have a lot of hope that it would be very playable with FPS games.

720p? (1280 x 720) ...are they kidding? A last generation PS2 has a better resolution of up to 1280 x 1024.

I did not buy 1920 x 1200 monitor and pay for a 20mb internet connection so my games can look like crap and run like crap. Most other people who have reasonably fast gaming machines are probably thinking the same thing.

The market is probably targeted at people who use gaming consoles. Either that or someone is not thinking this through.
