Exclamation Another Deabte

OK, I got ps2, IM not regreting it either. But will the xbxo get enough 3rd party support to make the awsome games ps2 has?? I mean, metal gear solid 2, gta3, gt3, final fantsay series.... ncaa 2002 and alot more. Can xbox ever match teh calibur ps2 has already acheived in gaming?

It's hard to say. Check out this article:
http://www.vanshardware.com/articles...11116_Xbox.htm
...I think the question people should be asking is, How durable is this product? look at the configuration of the CPU + graphics chip + fans. At least it can be modified.

hmmm yeah, I like the ps2's games alot better than the xbox's for the tiem being, but I might get one too. I went over to a friends house with the xbox, and it was amazing, with the music, hd, (no damn 30 dollar memory cards!) haha and you know that controller safety feature, that disconnects the controller before you bring your system to the floor?? I thought that was pretty stupid, till i tripped over the cord at my friends house!! whew,he would have been pissed, 300 more dollars in debt for me....

My PS2 is loving Devil May Cry, GT3, Silent Hill. Coming down the pipe is Wipeout, Final Fantasy X, and others. Plus it plays DVDs! I wouldn't kick my PS2 outta bed if somebody handed me an X-Box. Point is: this is a great time to be a gamer, AAA titles are better than ever.

Thumbs up

I'm rooting for PS2. I got mine a few weeks ago, the collection includes tony hawk 3, GTA 3 (I feel so evil!) and Metal Gear Solid 2. All three are stellar, and IMO beat out what the xbox is offering. Keep in mind however that these ps2 games are all 2nd generation, and the developers have had time to work out the kinks of the PS2 hardware...

well gta 3 might have a bad concept...but hey the whole point of a games is to simulate life like things, that you cant do in reality, like shooting up people, getting hookers in your car, killing the mafia....etc etc. It may be immoral, but hey, its fun!! I know the companies that develope games for it are flexing its muscles and the true power of the thing, thats one thing ps2 jsut doesn't have lots of raw power, but hey IM not complaining, I still love it, great games!

Question

Have you ever gotten your wanted level past 4? I can never get it to go higher. Maybe it's because I'm not very far yet...

I'm not too far, I did all of luigi and joeys missions, and am about half way through the pay-phone guy. I think the mission is the one where you kill 25 guys with the flame-thrower =)

Is anyone else surprized that the gamecube was the highest selling console ever? And luigi's mansion was that highest selling launch game ever? I mean i luv nintendo, but I just wasn't sure it could stand up to the competition. Their strong fan base is really pulling through I guess.

This came from IGN.com, and gamezone.com and a few other console sites i go to. They just said for the launch period. I thought the ps2 would too, but apparently the $100 difference in price attracted alot of people.
