Legend Hand of God on a Notebook?

I downloaded Legend Hand of God using D2D. I have done this before on a seperate computer, but on this Notebook Im using the game starts, then lags big time. The graphics move very slowly, stops/starts, etc.. I have tried re-installing graphics drivers, diminishing graphic card performance, etc., but the game graphics are way too slow.

Here's the thing. My Notebook has a Geforce 8(m) series video card, 3gig RAM, 2.1 dual core processor......but the hard drive is a 5400RPM. The other computer I had tried playing this game on was a 7200. Is the gameplay because of my hard drive? Would that affect graphics performance?

This Notebook Im using has Win 7, other computer had Vista Home Premium.

Or is it because Im using Directx 11 in general?

I can play other games that have similar specs on this Notebook just fine.

Go over to the game's web site : http://www.legend-game.com/index.php?sprache=2

Hop on the forum and check to see if there are other similar complaints that match your laptop.
Then check for patches and/or work arounds.

edit : Laptops come with "add ons" and it would help a lot if you'd give us the make and model.

Notebook is: HP G60-231WM Notebook PC.

I have checked that website, along with a few others. Havent found a lot of info about the game, or workarounds yet.

I did find where recommended specs ask for a 8800 video card, and mine is a 8200 (which meets minimum specs).

What hardware is required to play the game properly?
The required hardware specifications have not yet been determined. Anyway, due to its architecture the engine is not CPU-limited, which means that your graphics card will be of greater importance for the performance.
If I'm reading this correctly, your graphics card isn't making the grade for this game.
Yes it can run it, it just can't run it well and that's a common difference between required and recommended specs.
It would help to pinpoint a possible solution if you give the specs for the other games that run well on that laptop.

Video Card doesnt cut it....

I believe you're right. I wasnt aware how much demand Legend Hand of God puts on a computer compared to other games I play. Such as Eve online, Red Alert 3, Dungeon Lords, etc..

Thank you for your patience, Pam.

Have you already tried reducing the resolution, reduced or eliminated anti-aliasing and turned down other game settings? Doing this might at least give you playable frame rates, unfortunately though with less eye candy.
