Colin McRae Rally 2005 Problem With Videos
My Colin McRae Rally 2005 videos (the cinematics) are playing upside down. This is very strange because if I play them from their files in the game dir, they are OK. Also the rest of the game seems to be running smooth.
But how to fix this problem?

Hang from the ceiling?
This is only a band-aid solution but going Ctrl-ALT and then pushing the up arrow will turn the image upside down....or right side up in your case. Its cheaper than buying an inversion body harness. Seriously, I would start searching the forums dedicated to this game.

Sounds like you need a game patch but, before you install the patch, go to the game site and check the tech support forum.
Post your specs!

The downfall to most issues in the Colin McRae games are tracked back to the publisher/coders. The people in question is Codemasters. Go to Codemasters forums and take a look. You will find a number of people having issues with not only your version of Colin McRae but with the original DiRt game. As far as I can tell in playing the different games from the series, these common issues don't seem to clear up until DiRt 2. There are tweaks and what have you to make these issues go away.

None of the above work for me.
And that trick with CTRL+ALT+Up is not working - it doesn't switch the screen. And, by the way, I ask you because I already asked the publisher, but got no answer. ![]() Please, if you have more ideas, write here! Help! |
