AOE II - Age of Kings & Conquerors
Hello 2 ALL,
I'm Francis Del Pilar currently working here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I had upgraded my HP Pavillion DV5 from Vista Premium to Windows 7 Premium 32 bit and all is working good except for my games age of empires II. The color resolution that i choose is 1280 x 480 32bit but the actual picture of the game upon playing is not good. Color is very poor and scattered. Can you help me correct the color resolution? My video graphics is ATI Radeon 512MB. Thanks and regards, Francis |

32 bit color is not the problem. Anything above 24 bit color is unnecessary unless you are a professional graphics designer.
Does your graphics card ever do the same thing in any other software? Either your card, its drivers, the power supply or the game is the problem. First download and install the latest drivers for your card from AMD's website. Then make sure your game has the latest patches. Then download some voltage monitoring software and put your computer under a load. If all of that checks out then your graphics card may be dieing.

Funny, I've always run my graphics @ 32 bit and never had any problem.
Does this help? Age of Empires 2 on Windows 7 = color issue
