-Wake up! Has this dream stopped? The snake was pale gold Glazed and shrunken
And she was beside me Ooh, she's not young Her dark red hair, her white soft skin
Now, run to the mirror in the bathroom, look She's coming in here I can't live through each slow century of her moving
The smooth hissing snakes of rain...

My score is higher, almost double, but I'm not sure what the difference between dx10 and dx11 scores are.

i wasnt boasting or making competition with 5xxx fermis systems . but i made this system with pc mech help 2 years ago and i was happy it is still ready to install a decent gpu
upgrade without major expenses .

as for my opinion i like ChoboSeki score better lol . but anyway 3dmark tests uses
a lot of quad cpu scores that most games dosnt , the diffrence in gpu only graphics
benchmarks wont be so huge with games that are not obtmized to use 4 cores .
specially with that i7 870 . the i7 920 was same price as my c2d when i bought it
but i wouldnt go for a 2.6 quad for my games . nice fermi tho

anyway check on intell , the i7 is now ranked on older generation processors page lol
one dosnt have the time to read about new hardware nowdays , so much for buying !

I didn't get the i7 or the 570s to game, hence the invisible sli cable in the photo below.

clicky

Sandy Bridge is going to be released in a few days, hence i7s being listed as the older generation of processors. I'm liking the 980x score posted. I should put my 3 570s into my crosshair board and see what I get.

waw . that looks rich . well i am not at a material level were i can do that .
but believe me i am playing bethsoft game new vegas at ultra high and it wont
go under 60fps through out the game , bethsoft rpg games are not
the easiest games to run, out there at max settings , i cant ask for more really .
i had some real disappointment with nvidia with the re-branded 9800gtx+ .
ATI made me feel like i have accomplished something this time .
the 6870 is well worth the money

My Asus GTS-450 plays new vegas maxed out at 1920x1080 and never drops below 59fps, its was 135$ at newegg. The 6870 still has some punch in it for sure, but new vegas is not that taxing and any decent card can handle it.

Where do I get the free trial version? Got a link? The last time I went to Futuremark's site they wanted me to pay for it.

I'm not about to pay money to find out how fast my computer is. It's not that important.

Edit: I see now, they ultimately want to you to pay for Vantage but 3DMark11 is freeware. Ok then, I will post the 11 results later. There is a patch for 11 now and I downloaded it but it says the patch is included in the download...just in case anyone has the older unpatched version of 11.

Found it thanks!

Score for 3DMark11, P6714 3DMarks. I have no idea what the P in the score means.

This is with computer in my signature but with the CPU overclocked at 3.36 GHz.

Pay up Obit! Feel lucky all I have is a mild overclock.

Good gawd, I may have to clock my CPU back up to 4GHz. I'm getting nervous going up against a GTX 560. That will be interesting...may the fastest computer win!

You're safe, my score is with a single 570.

The Gigabyte gtx 560 soc outscores the reference 570 in 3dmark vantage by just a tiny bit. Is your 570 OC at all?

Mine is clocked at 894 core, I believe the stock setting is 732. So just a bit.

David is still safe if we went by the
3Dmark11 scores. The 570 just squeezes by the 560 TI SOC.

It's a single 5970, not overclocked.

I need to find an inexpensive second 5970.

I saw one on the shelf at Fry's last week for $600 that I almost bought. I chickened out. I'm going to wait for the 6990 to come out and drive the 5970's prices down.

Once you get a decent job and get married, you will find that your buying decisions come down to not so much cost but how upset your wife might get. For you guys who are still single, that's the actual cost of anything you buy. (Base price + tax + shipping) x wife coefficient = actual price. Flowers = low coefficient. Computer parts = very high coefficient. If the sum of instances of low coefficients/ sum of high coefficients is ≥1 ⇒ marital harmony.
