Hi everyone, (forgive me if this thread has been covered already, and please redirect me)
Been doing some research on video cards and am also new to building my own computer. Do you know which video cards work the best? I've considered Geforce3 500 or Radeon 8500. I also read somewhere that the old Geforce2 had low 2D quality compared to Radeon, due to companies not configuring the Nvidia chip probably on the card. Do you know which Geforce3 companies have the best configuration/architecture? All the best, Nimril |

Depends on what you intend to use the system for, the GeForce 3 cards are good stuff, but like all good gear they are expensive, I looked yesterday for someone, and they were $710 AUD thats about $350 USD

I'd go with an Nvidia over ati for gaming (*runs from rabid ati fans*) If you don't have the bucks for the ge3 or ge3 ti500, the ti200 or even a ge2 Ultra would be fine alternatives.
