Fallout: New Vegas

Beware, this is a highly addictive game if you like combination shooters and quest games. It's actually a pretty sophisticated game with quite a bit of depth and character development. The artificial intelligence is excellent. I'm 57 hours into it (yikes) and still see no end to it. The map is not too small or big with plenty of things to do. On a cost per hour basis, it was definitely worth the money.

Sadly it is one of those games that causes me motion sickness, no matter what I try I get sick really bad with shooter games. I get to miss out on a lot of games out there because of this.

Have you tried Bonine? I'm serious. I think it might help. Bonine does not cause drowsiness. This does not mean you would need to take Bonine each time...just till your brain gets used to it.

Motion sickness is caused by your inner ear and your eyes telling your brain two different things. Motion sickness medicine somehow disconnects that link in you brain.

The evolutionary reason is that we get the same symptoms when we eat a poison or something that is contaminated like old meat. When the brain detects a disconnect between what our eyes and our inner ears are telling us, it causes queasiness which is the brains way of ridding our stomach of what we ingested.

Whats interesting is that right after getting an Eyefinity system, I started getting the same queasiness since almost my whole periphery was filled with monitors. This was especially true in the flying simulators. After a while, that went away. My brain got its Eyefinity "sea legs" in a sense.

I'm thinking you may want to try that as well. Just a little exposure at a time until your brain adapts.

When mariners go to sea who are prone to seasickness, they will take seasickness medicine for two or three days until they get what is called their sea legs, where they no longer need the medicine. I used to do that when I worked on larger vessels.

New Vegas is great, I have around 50 hours in it and still enjoy playing it. I highly suggest this game to anyone that liked fallout 3, which was also a great game.

Thanks David, will give it a try.

i just finished it , lost last battle to the legion boss but i used killall console command
to see the ending . i dunno about motion sickness but lately have been getting
strange seizures when i try to sleep mainly my body keeps cramping and i feel my
brain want to leave my skull . no pain no dizziness nothing just strange strong
feeling of unrest .

pushing through bfbc2 single player , it would be nice dropping online but not
with this 4 cores optimized game , maybe i wait bf3 .

look at this :

-Wake up! Has this dream stopped? The snake was pale gold Glazed and shrunken
And she was beside me Ooh, she's not young Her dark red hair, her white soft skin
Now, run to the mirror in the bathroom, look She's coming in here I can't live through each slow century of her moving
The smooth hissing snakes of rain...

Well, thanks for telling us the ending. Now I no longer need to buy it.

opps that was a spoiler but it took a day of frustration from me to battle him then
loose . you can always take his side and have a different ending.
