Novalogic makes an excellent F-22 sim with a very small learning curve. It's called F-22 Lightning 3. Originally written to run on Voodoo graphics powered computers, the patch adds extremely versatile D3D drivers that look spectacular on a GeForce 256 or higher nVidia card. I'm sure it would be fine on an ATI card also (with the update patch). And the best part is you can fly against others on their own server called Novaworld!

Some others that come to mind are Descent 3 and Falcon 4.0 (steep learning curve for this one).

Totally concur with Tiretool on F22, been out of the Mil flight sim market for quite some time and bought this on budget. Like TT says, easy learning curve, good graphics, good fun, and still supported in multiplayer.
I paid £10 (US$6) for my copy from a computer superstore, if you can get it for that you honestly can't go wrong.

For a shoot 'em ups like X wing Alliance, Freespace 2 is a must have. Good story, good graphics, and lots of intense action.

Try Crimson Skies, it's a year old, but there is a demo available on Fileplanet.com. If you like x-wing alliance, I think you'll like this game. It's set in the 1930's and has a great story and voice-acting too.

looking for a good flight game

I've got a Cybog 3D USB, I love the thing, you eon't go wrong getting the same thing.
I haven't ever played the F-22 game, it's sound good though, I play Falcon4.0. It's the most realistic flight sim I've ever played. It does have a steep learning curve though, the flight handbook that comes with the game is about an inch thick, don't be scred thoug, it's pretty easy.
You can go from training, to right in toshooting down planes and/or blowing up buildings. You can do a dogfight with as many planes as you want, you can fight in three different wars, each more challenging.
Right noe I'm in a war, fighting alongside South Korea with the Combined Forces, anginst the attaking North Korea, I'm in the 36th tactical fighter squadron, air to ground specialty, we, the Combined Forces started a major Offensive and had them pushed bck almost out of the panhandle, now China had joined in on the side of North Korea and are pushing us back.

Just a taste,I love the game

Myself I prefer World War Second sims, for the combat is more "in your face". I prefer dogfighting rather than missile blasting.

I can't fail - No, not now
When twenty five bombers wait ripe"
